Kentucky Derby 137

Welcome Derby Fans,

The countdown to the running of the 137th Kentucky Derby is officially underway.

We are pleased to be here and present you with our undeniable knowledge (or so we think), tips, facts and fascinating insights to the tradition known as: The Fastest 2 Minutes in Sports. Through our years of wins, countless losses, mint juleps and experiences on the first Saturday in May, we hope to share our passion.

While you may not come as close to a teary eye during the playing of My Old Kentucky Home, tie your bow tie as well, throw as many programs, tear up as many tickets, or enjoy as many beverages we welcome you and hope to bring you as close to the Derby Day experience as possible.

With at least one of us making it to the downs for derby day since 1997, we are looking forward to getting you through the prep races and as excited as we will be on May 7, 2011. There will always be a seat open on our Handicapper Knee but we ask that you keep in mind: there are times when we will cheer inside the winner circle together and there are times when all there is to say is…… “up the track.”

The trail to the derby is full of thriving 3 yr olds, talented jockeys, trainers, owners and most importantly fans. The tradition is thick, the pressure intense, and the excitement plenty. Louisville, KY is a wonderful city to play host and it is a joy to be there. So, for those of you that have yet to reach the twin spires for the running of the Kentucky Derby, start your list, put it at the top and if it will be in 2011……See you there!

With this week officially putting us under 100 days until post time we ask you to get your reading glasses out because we are ready to announce “Riders Up”.
